SCHOOL Presentations and Resources
We proudly offer FREE presentations and resources for teachers and students in BC.
Bridging the gap between the farm and the dinner table is at the heart of what we do. We offer your students a firsthand look at how chicken is raised right, here in British Columbia, highlighting the dedicated local farmers who produce our food.

PRESENTATIONS
Educational and Interactive
Each presentation is designed to be interactive and informative, focusing on:
-
BC Poultry Farming: An inside look at how chickens are raised in our province.
-
Local Impact: Understanding the people and processes behind BC food production.
-
Interactive Learning: Engaging presentations featuring real-life photos and activity sheets.
-
Q&A Sessions: Dedicated time for students to satisfy their curiosity and ask Farmer Amanda anything about farm life.
Meet Farmer Amanda
Our presenter, Farmer Amanda, doesn't just talk about farming—she lives it! Raising chickens on her own farm in Chilliwack, she brings authentic stories and expertise to every session. Her passion for local food production helps students understand the work that goes into the food they eat every day.
How it Works
All our Presentations and Resources are 100% free to schools year-round.
To reach the most schools, we require the following from schools:
-
We book by the school, not by the class. This means that each booking must involve at least 4 classes, or at least 4 hours of presenting time.
-
If your school does not yet meet these requirements, we recommend waiting to book a date once more teachers sign up for a presentation.
-
-
We ask schools to coordinate internally to choose a presentation and create the presentation schedule.
-
Hybrid Presentation days are available to schools interested in different presentations (see table below).
-
-
Once a date is requested, it is not guaranteed until we finalize the details via email communications with our team.
-
Availability varies by region. If you're unsure, filter the Calendar to see when presentations are available in your region
-
Length, content, and availability vary by presentation. See the table below for more information on specific presentations. Follow the links to see the lesson plans.
