Overview
In this lesson, students will explore the journey of chicken from farm to fork. They will learn about the different stages of chicken production in BC, the lives of chicken farmers, and the importance of biosecurity measures in protecting poultry.

Objectives
1. Identify Chicken Life Cycle: fertilized egg, chick, pullet, chicken
2. Understand different poultry farms within BC: Chicken Broiler Breeders, Chicken Broilers, Specialty Broiler Farms, Organic Broiler Farms, and Egg Laying Farms.
3. Who is a Chicken Farmer? How many farms are there in BC. Why is important that we have local farms producing chicken for consumers?
4. Explore the term biosecurity and its importance within the chicken industry.
