Nuestras atractivas presentaciones están dirigidas a estudiantes de 3.º a 12.º grado, con flexibilidad para adaptarse a públicos más jóvenes. Las presentaciones en el aula se ofrecen como sesión independiente o integradas en una clase de alimentación.

Our mini barn School Presentations operate April - June, and September (fall, winter trailer visitations are not available, please see our school presentations with Farmer Amanda which are available throughout the school year)

Grade-Appropriate Activity Sheets: Every student receives a take-home activity sheet. These sheets are leveled by grade to ensure the vocabulary and challenges are "just right" for each student's learning stage.

Program Overview
Poultry in Motion brings the farm directly to your school, offering an immersive look at the BC poultry industry. Led by Farmer Amanda, a local producer from Chilliwack, students go beyond the classroom to explore the science and hard work behind the food they see at the grocery store.
Key Learning Objectives
By participating in this presentation and completing the leveled activity sheets, students will:

Differentiate Farm Roles: Identify the specific purposes of broiler farms, broiler breeder farms, and table egg farms.

Booking Information
To provide this high-quality, free resource to your students, we require a full-day school booking. We encourage teachers to coordinate with other classes to fill a full day of sessions (typically 4–5 sessions per day).

For students in Grades 4–7, the presentation becomes more sophisticated. We shift from basic needs to exploring complex systems, a deeper understanding of biology, and the economic impact of farming in British Columbia.

Our intermediate program is designed to challenge students to think critically about where their food comes from. By engaging with Farmer Amanda, students move beyond the surface level to understand the intersection of food security, technology, and sustainability in the BC poultry industry.
What We Explore Together
The Grades 4–7 sessions focus on "big picture" concepts and the technical side of modern farming:

Intermediate Activity Sheets
Each student receives a technical activity sheet designed for their grade level. These aren't just puzzles—they are tools for:

To provide this high-level educational experience at no cost, we require a full-day school booking. Collaboration is Key: Intermediate teachers are encouraged to partner with other classrooms (including K–3) to create a full day's schedule for Farmer Amanda (usually 4–5 sessions).
